Satellite Dish Installation Policy Updated December 2005
Residents at both Family Housing sites, (78 College Avenue and 252 Stone Road West) can install a private satellite dish only if they are able to safely attach it to a free standing structure on the ground, or balcony. No dish can be affixed to the side of any building, on any fence or other structure, nor can they be put on the roof. The wiring must be run through a partially open window, as holes may not be put through the exterior walls.
In some cases, it has been discovered that a dish will not receive a signal where the resident has elected to put it. In these cases, it is the responsibility of the resident to find an alternative place to put it, or choose an alternative method of television reception, as long as they stay within the guidelines set forth by the Family Housing Office.
