Introducing the Gryphon's Choice Residence Contest
Each year, Student Housing Services gives one lucky incoming first-year student the opportunity to skip the room assignment lottery and WIN their FIRST CHOICE of residence and room type for the Fall 2024/Winter 2025 academic year. This engagement initiative allows future Gryphons to discover our social media platforms for the chance to win an exclusive prize!
The 2024 Gryphon's Choice Contest will open on Tuesday, May 23 at 10 AM and will be posted to Instagram, @UofGHousing.
How to Enter
1. Ensure you are following @UofGHousing on Instagram
2. Tag a fellow #FutureGryphon in the comments. 1 comment/tag = 1 entry, unlimited entries are permitted.
3. For an additional entry, share the post to your story (if your account is private, send us a screenshot).
The contest closes at noon on June 2nd. The winner will be confirmed and announced by June 1st at noon.
Contest Rules and Additional Details
- The contest is open to students entering their first year who are eligible for Residence Priority at the University of Guelph in the 2024-2025 academic year.
- The winner must have submitted their residence application and deposit by the deadline of June 3 at 11:59 PM.
- All entries must be made via Instagram. No other social media platforms will accept entries.
- The choice of a preferred roommate or a specific room is not guaranteed. However, in the case of double occupancy, your preferred roommate may be assigned based on their lottery number.
- The winner will be contacted via Instagram and be instructed to email housing@uoguelph.ca to claim their prize.
- Questions may be sent via Instagram DM or by emailing housing@uoguelph.ca.
