Interhall Council

I want those socks!

Interested in student leadership? Involved in student council in high-school? Then we have the group for you!

Interhall Council (IHC) is a group of residence students who are elected annually to represent the residence community and enrich residence life - and they are always looking for interested students!!

Each residence building has their own "Hall Council" who work together to make the residence experience positive and memorable, often working alongside Residence Life Staff. And, as student representatives, members of IHC sit on various campus committees and interact with residence and university professionals.

The Interhall Council has a long history at the University of Guelph. Founded in 1969 under Residence Life Director Mr. K. Opare, IHC has grown to become the largest Residence Hall Association in Ontario with 61 members.
