Information for Parents

We have created a comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions and regular updagtes about how we are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic on campus and in residences.

NOTE TO PARENTS:  If you are sending or dropping off *care* packages to your Gryphons, please ensure there is no perishable or frozen food, in the event that the package cannot be delivered same day.

Welcome to the University of Guelph residence community! I'd like to thank you for trusting us to provide a home away from home for your student.

As a parent of university-aged students, I know that it can be an exciting, yet stressful time as we watch our children leave the safety found within our homes and our reach, to enter into young adulthood where responsibility for their wellbeing and success is left largely to them.

The pages we have here are designed to provide information on how you can assist your student with their transition to University. Check this page regularly throughout the summer to stay updated on information you need to know to help your student prepare for residence life.

Student Housing Services acknowledges that students are our primary client.Regardless of their ages, or their financial dependence on you, we are obligated to keep any information regarding your student private.

Wishing you and your student a great summer as you are about to embark on this new adventure at the University of Guelph.
